Every Christmas season, The Watkins family’s magnificent lights display has won them the town’s ‘Most Festive’ award. When her mother passes away, Sophie Watkins has pledged to keep her mom’s cherished winning streak alive by decorating all by herself. They’ve never had any real competition until Matt Daniels, a cocky young entrepreneur, moves in next door and uses his unlimited budget to put together an even more impressive display than Sophie’s. As they each try to out-decor the other, their bitter rivalry develops into a budding romance when the two realize their love for Christmas is only matched by the love they have for each other. Teenagers Audrey and Baker hit it off during winter break but can’t get together because they’re already in relationships. Fate intervenes when the two are surprisingly reunited after the holidays at the same high school and realize they must be meant to be. Not wanting to break the hearts of their current partners they plot to set up her boyfriend Lucas and his girlfriend Madison with each other in the hopes that everyone will live happily ever after.

In the summer of 1985, after reading the infamous New York Magazine article “Hollywood’s Brat Pack”, Debbie Butler, a Midwestern college student is inspired to quit school and move to Los Angeles to try and fake it till she makes her way into the inner circle of Hollywood’s hottest young stars. Debbie secures a job at the hottest bar in town, The Hard Rock Cafe, and quickly finds a close-knit circle of new friends whose relationships will then be tested as her dreams are realized when she begins rubbing elbows with the likes of Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald and her number one crush, Andrew McCarthy. She came to Los Angeles to find movie star friends but as she gets closer to their fame and fortune through lies and manipulation, Debbie will learn that who she really needs to find is herself.
